Ocean Highs was totally inspired by recent visits to my local beach for my early morning swims. Although very warm, it’s been wild recently!
This beautiful, bright, shimmery piece is hand felted using the wet felting technique; that’s rubbing delicate wool fibres together with soap and water. I’ve used super soft Merino wool and some needle felting too.
I have added some delicate tiny glass beads and embroidery together with a mix of fibres including some Wensleydale curly wool locks which gives the piece a lovely textured, bubbly surface. It’s framed in a deep box frame that can stand alone or hang on the wall.
